The world seen through my lens
City's
Relatively permanent and highly organized centre of population, of greater size or importance than a town or village. The name city is given to certain urban communities by virtue of some legal or conventional distinction that can vary between regions or nations.
Landscape
Shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture nature's presence, but can also focus on human-made features or disturbances of landscapes.
Abstract
Abstract photography consists of images created using photography materials and equipment that don't have an immediate association with the physical world. Abstract photographers use perspective, movement, and light to transform the world we see into an unexpected, often unrecognizable image.
Macro
Macro photography is all about showcasing a subject larger than it is in real life — an extreme close-up of something small. A full-frame insect in a five-by-seven-inch photo and a four-inch product shot of a cornflake go well above life-size: both are examples of macro photography.
Animals
Wildlife photography is a genre of photography that records the life of animals in their natural settings, like in a forest or underwater. So, wildlife photography often constitutes the images of animals in movement or action such as eating, fighting, or in flight.
Black and white
Black-and-white photography is considered by some to be more subtle and interpretive, and less realistic than color photography. Monochrome images are not direct renditions of their subjects, but are abstractions from reality, representing colors in shades of grey. In computer terms, this is often called greyscale.
Old doors
Doors and windows are of particular interest to me because they can reflect the architectural fashions of a past time, furnish an insight into the heritage of a region, provide a compositional framework for a better picture, or just produce a literal window into other people’s lives. And let’s face it, it’s always interesting to peek into someone else’s house or yard, just to see how they live.
Drops
Water drop splash photography involves capturing droplets as they fall into a small bowl of water. At its simplest, you can set up on a small table using items found in your kitchen and photograph drops and ripples.
Faculty of the spirit to reproduce or invent mental images in complex representations, partially or entirely different from reality
Portraits
A portrait is a painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic representation of a person, in which the face and its expression is predominant.
